The Fleet Awaits Christmas

The guys put the tree up but I still need to decorate it. The beading always gives me trouble, trying to decide how far to space each strand. We have a new larger tree this year since we moved to a house with 9 foot ceilings. (yeah 9 foot!)  Usually I look at photos from the year before to give me guidance. You would think it was rocket science the way I drag out the whole tree trimming process.  Thank goodness this one is pre-lighted, that's one step down.
Now a zillion to go.

  1. Oh that row of boats looks so cute. Who needs Christmas decorations when you have that!

  2. Hopefully they'll get put on the tree soon. I've given up on the beading and just going with the ornaments.
They are cute, though. I may have to line them up somewhere after the holidays.

  4. The boats are cute. And at least your tree is up. Mine is still in a box up in the attic. Hopefully it will get put up before Christmas.

  8. I had to laugh--My trees are sitting and waiting for me to get them up again, tomorrow.
I think I am gonna skip the garland and just do balls and tinsel.
    Easy peasy.
    The boats are soooooo cute!
Thank you for stopping by my blog so I could meet you!
Blessings to you as you make your home!

  9. I finally finished it. My husband says it has enough ornaments on it but I'm not sure. I may add a few here or there.

  11. Hi Melody,
I got the architectural piece above my mantel from Home Goods, which is a TJMaxx store. Do you have those? I shop there a lot and I had never seen them carry anything like it, so I grabbed it. ($60) I love it too! Hey, I also love the Out of Africa movie!
